PCI Vale do Juruena
Juruena is a municipality located in the North-West Region of Mato Grosso, with an area of 3,190,476 km² and a population of 14,913 inhabitants. Contriguaçú is a municipality located in the North-West Region of Mato Grosso with an area of 9,123,582 km² and a population of 19,254 inhabitants. The Vale do Juruena Regional Compact operates in both municipalities as part of the IDH Regional Compacts program and in line with the PCI strategy. The main productive chains in the region are livestock, wood and products from family farming and socio-biodiversity.

COMMITMENT
In 2018, through the Municipal Governments of Juruena and Cotriguaçu together with the PCI and private sector representative organizations, Memorandum of Understanding Juruena and Memorandum of Undertanding Cotriguaçu were signed with the objective of establishing cooperation and carrying out the necessary efforts to promote sustainable economic development through the PCI strategy in the region. Initiated in 2018 and coordinated by the IDH, Carrefour Foundation, Carrefour Brazil, Acrimat and Natcap, it aims to offer more than 450 livestock properties in the Vale do Juruena and Vale do Araguaia, tools to improve results of the breeding segment in economic, environmental and social aspects.
Programa nosso leite (Our Milk Program)
Coordinated by SEBRAE aims to increase the production, productivity and efficiency of milk production systems, aiming at increasing property income, on a sustainable basis, adopting property management and technification tools. The program is carried out through the training of technical assistance professionals and rural extension for small dairy farmers.
