Baseou-se no reconhecimento do protagonismo dos munic\u00edpios e organiza\u00e7\u00f5es da sociedade civil nas iniciativas locais e regionais de promo\u00e7\u00e3o da sustentabilidade. Dois desses munic\u00edpios, Planalto da Serra e Campos de Julio, est\u00e3o localizados no Mato Grosso, Brasil.<br \/>Com o apoio do EDF, foi feito um acordo para implementa\u00e7\u00e3o desta abordagem tendo como parceiro implementador a Alian\u00e7a da Terra.
